Passed peacefully away in the presence of his wife and three daughters at the A.M. Guy Memorial Health Center in Buchans, NL on Sunday, January 15, 2017, Richard Earl Flight of Buchans, age 78 years. Predeceased by: parents Richard and Violet Flight, sister Gertrude M. Flight-Perry, brother-in-law Leslie Price and sister-in-law Sheila Byrne. Left with fond and loving memories: his wife of 55 years, Shirley (nee Price), Buchans; three daughters, Valerie (Greg) Maidment, Clarenville; Vicki O’Leary, St. John’s; Sheilagh Flight, Carbonear; Grandchildren: Dylan, Ben, Nick, Jenna, Aaron and Neagh; brother: Eric Flight, Ontario; sister: Yvonne (Eric) Legrow, Salmon Cove; brothers-in-law: David (Dianne) Price, Ontario; Fred (Heather) Price, NS; Dennis (Eleanor) Price, NS, sister-in-law: Dianne (Irving) Ellsworth, NS. Also, a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at the United Church, Buchans, NL on Tuesday, January 17 and Wednesday, January 18. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 19 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Buchans Community Cemetery.
