Condolences

Condolence From: Tony and Christine McGettigan
Condolence: Our thoughts, prayers and fond memories go to Rose and her family. I always think of Rosa as the young girl who had the fire in her belly to travel from Ireland bound to New York and the patience in her heart to build a life in Gander, Newfoundland, where she stopped along the way.

May she rest in peace and her family find peace and serenity in her passing

Condolence: We both have such fond memories of Aunt Rose. She was truly a wonderful person with a zest for life, a captivating storyteller and a great sense of humor. She touched the hearts of all who knew her. The world is a better place because she was in it.
To all of her family our thoughts are with you. As you reflect on her life we hope it warms your hearts and make you feel very proud to know what a great lady your Mom and Grandmother was.

Condolence: I met Aunt Rose and Uncle Doug a couple of times as I was growing up during their occasional visits to Europe and, in 1977 at the age of 19, stayed with them in Gander, enjoying a snowy, post-Christmas vacation during which I met Mary Rose and various friends and neighbours. From those various meetings, I recall Rose as a warm and caring person who treated me as if I was one of her own children. My sincere condolences to Paul, Judy and Mary Rose, Ethna and all others who loved and cared for her.

Condolence: I met my aunt Rose and uncle Doug many many years ago when I was just a boy of 12 or 13. They were such lovely people that they made a lasting impression on me. One of love, life, kindness and consideration. Rose is resting in peace w/ Doug now and they are smiling down upon us. Fergus, Andrea, Fionn, Maja and Aoife McGettigan, Dublin, Ireland.

Condolence: Paul, Judy, Mary Rose, Ethna & families... I will certainly miss the visits I have shared over the years with your parents. There was a lot of time spent and great memories made at 135 Memorial Drive. When my own girls would join me & visit them, during the summer or at Christmas, Rose & Doug always had some special candy or chocolate for them, while I got to hear some pretty interesting stories of our neighbourhood! They sure had a lot of fun! They enjoyed each other's company, took care of one another and are together again. I will treasure my memories always. Wendy xo
