Obituary for Tony Foote

Some people make the world more special just by being in it.

Passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness at the Health Sciences Center in St John’s on June 4th 2017, at the age of 55. Predeceased by his parents, Oliver and Susie Foote and in-law parents Winston and Louise May.
Left with loving memories his wife Christine, Son Evan, sister Patty (Joe Noia) of Alabama, step mother Geraldine Foote of Gander, stepsisters Bonnie (Brian Beazley) of Lewin’s Cove, Cindy (Greg Moulton) of Burin, Karen (Dexter Gulliver) of Mount Pearl, Ferne (Sheldon Oake) of Burin, sisters in law Madge May (Jude) of Montreal, Mary Lou (Claude Crews) Mount Pearl, and Roxanne May (Glenn Stacey) Point May and uncle Frank (Bernice) Foote of Fredericton, NB – along with a large and fantastic circle of other relatives and friends.
Tony had a great love of skidooing and could often be heard to comment that he couldn’t wait for the snow to come to start up the machines. He was known to start the machines in the early fall to ensure they started without difficulty. He was also making plans for “servicing the machines” before Santa arrived in case he received snow for being a good boy!
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially any time he could get at the cabin.
He loved to travel and experience new adventures with Christine and was known to attend a rock concert or two.
The pride he felt for his son Evan was evident each time he spoke about “his boy” .He was good at keeping a secret from Christine about any risky adventure Evan had planned, such as skydiving from a plane at 14 000 feet, until he knew his feet were safely on the ground!

Tony will be truly missed but will never be forgotten.
